Nifty aur Sensex mein har company ka weight kaise tay hota hai

Index ek number hai jo poore market ya ek sector ko represent karta hai. Us number mein har company ka hissa barabar nahi hota, aur ye baat uske behaviour ko poori tarah tay karti hai.
Index aksar free float market capitalisation par bana hota hai — yaani sirf wo shares ginti mein aate hain jo asli mein market mein trade hote hain. Promoter ke paas pade shares uspar count nahi hote.
Isliye ek badi company ka index mein weight kam ho sakta hai agar uska bada hissa promoter ke paas ho.
Ye baatein isi structure se nikalti hain:
• Kuch bade naam index ki chaal ka bada hissa bana dete hain.
• Index upar ho sakta hai jabki zyadatar stocks neeche hon.
• Index fund ko wahi weight follow karna padta hai, chahe wo mehnga lage.
• Rebalancing ke din un stocks mein bada volume aata hai jo index mein aa ya ja rahe hain.
Index ko poore market ka scoreboard maan lena aksar galat picture deta hai. Apne portfolio ko index se compare karne se pehle ye dekhna chahiye ki us index ka weight kis tarah ke stocks mein hai — warna comparison hi apples aur oranges ka hai.
