What are Stock Charts?

Stock charts are a visual representation of what a price did over time — went up, down, or stayed the same. From charts, traders identify patterns and take trading decisions.

Types of Charts

1. Line Chart:
• What is: Only connects the closing prices to the line
• Best for: Quick overview, trend identification
• Pros: Simple, clean
• Cons: No open/high/low info

2. Candlestick Chart:
• What is: Every candle shows open, high, low, close
• Best for: Detailed analysis, pattern recognition
• Pros: Maximum information
• Cons: A little complex for beginners

3. Bar Chart:
• What is: OHLC bars (similar to candlestick)
• Best for: Western technical analysis
• Pros: Clear OHLC
• Cons: Less visual than candlesticks
